The Zoeckler Firm,LLC.

Firm Profile

The Zoeckler Firm, LLC was founded in 2014 by Bob Zoeckler following over 3 decades of practice in the area of local governmental land use law. The Firm provides advice and counsel to a variety of local governments, institutions, businesses and neighborhood organizations. Services include land use analysis, rezonings, special use and variance cases, permitting, code drafting, counsel on zoning matters, neighborhood representation, and litigation support. The Firm strongly believes in good urban and community planning, and handles cases that support this belief.

Bob served for 14 years as a Senior Assistant City Attorney in the City of Atlanta and was then a partner with Maddox, Nix, Bowman & Zoeckler for 17 years before starting The Zoeckler Firm. Thomas A. Bowman, Esq. is associated with the firm on an of counsel basis. Tom has practiced in the areas of local government, land use, eminent domain and tax law for over 45 years.

The Firm is intentionally small and provides close personal attention to its cases. We are selective in the types of cases handled, and are therefore able to focus actively on the cases we do take in order to achieve positive results for our clients. The Firm has developed excellent working relationships with related disciplines to achieve better results for its clients. Extensive experience in metropolitan Atlanta and the State of Georgia has resulted in a network of professionals from a variety of disciplines – planners, engineers, traffic consultants, appraisers, permit expediters, surveyors - that the Firm calls upon to assist it when needed. Successful resolution of complex land use issues often requires more than just legal resources, and our coordinated approach to problem solving using these professional relationships with related disciplines allows the Firm to achieve results that enable us to successfully compete with larger firms.
